In this video I take a first look at the HeeWing F-01 flying wing. This wing may seem familiar to you as it is basically the Diatone Ripper. HeeWing actually make the Ripper for Diatone, so this comes out of the same moulds. The thing that I am most interested in checking out with this kit are the components. The F-01 can be bought in four different versions:
- A kit with the foam and hardware
- PnP with a 2204 2200KV motor and 9g plastic geared servos
- PnP with FC, which is the professional PnP version with a basic FC
But the version that I was most interested in is the Professional PnP version. This comes with a 2205 2350KV motor (same as the Ripper) and GDW 12g digital, metal geared servos. It's the servos in particular that sparked my interest, as GDW have some very decent servos for the money, and I'd heard good things about the DS031MGs.
