I have been working on a music video for the last month or so and some aspects needed a proper lip sync AI. As it nears completion I ended up using @RunwayML lip sync model which has been the best option out there until Hedra poked out its head this week by offering a FREE beta version to their AI lip sync model which so far is performing really well.
I put together this comparison video and purposely used more "abstract" portraits to push the limits further on how much the AI lipsync models can handle. Let me know what you think is better in the comments and of course each has its owns strengths but also remember Hedra is still in Beta so depending on the inevitable pricing system it may either make RunwayML step up their game or offer proper competition. Either way, I think they are doing an amazing job, and I am looking forward to seeing where it will go.
