Have you ever found it difficult to understand the book of Hebrews? Join the club.

In this video, I show a simple outline that describes the layout of the book.

The overall point: Jesus is better! The recipients were being tempted to walk away from Jesus and return to the Law. Why would they do that when they have something better?

The book is divided into three major sections, each with a teaching and an exhortation:

Teaching: Jesus is better than the angels
Exhortation: Do not neglect the message of Jesus

Teaching: Jesus is better than Moses
Exhortation: Do not harden your hearts

Teaching: Jesus is better than the high priests
Exhortation: Be faithful
