Every now and then do you ever feel as if you have outgrown some spiritual things? Spiritual habits, ways and doing of things pertaining to the Lord. There is a sense of flatness, and it is not anything from the enemy.
It is a distinct sense and crystal clear knowing it is from the Lord. It starts small then begins to grow until everything you try to do to meet it falls short. I know these places all too well. They come around every so often.
It feels like I have outgrown everything and "my soul knoweth right well." If you are feeling this it is because you have most likely come to the end of your learning season that has been years in the making. There are new vistas to see, mountains to climb, and rivers to cross.
Do not worry, it is the Lord. He is preparing you for new paths to walk in. He wants you to be trusted with new, richer spiritual food, and spiritual drink.
He does not require any help from you, only that you lay it all down and remain still before Him. And when you do, the new phase of your journey towards the Heavenly Jerusalem will commence. Only be quiet and let go.
