A site in Mexico is producing artefacts dating to 17,000 years, made not of stone but of a synthetic polymer, aluminium silicate heated to 4,500 degrees at a precise composition, a material that resists water, prevents lichen growth, and retains its shine indefinitely, exactly the properties Frank Rogala says an AI model recommended when asked what a civilisation should use to leave records behind ahead of a coming cataclysm.

![William Henry Traces the Shroud of Turin to a Town Near Gobekli Tepe
William Henry has led more than 30 tours to Egypt since 2003, and joins Matt Barone to preview two 2026 pilgrimages: a first-time Turkey trip in September and a 12-day return to Egypt in October.
William describes his approach as fundamentally different from conventional tourism, chartering the Sun Boat III, a private luxury yacht limited to 32 guests and used only by Yale, Stanford, Harvard, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where staff refer to guests as souls rather than passengers. His tours evolved from an early 2000s Stargate Egypt theme, identifying portals at ancient sites, into what he now calls Star Walker work, actively engaging those portals rather than simply pointing them out. He shares two personal Karnak Temple stories: a legend of a golden boat manifesting in the sacred lake that reduced two tour guests to tears when the lake itself appeared to swirl with stars, and a moment where he noticed a 750-ton obelisk, an ancient palm tree symbolising the cosmic axis, a mosque minaret, a church cross, and a 5G tower all visible in a single sightline, a visual timeline of human civilisations evolving relationship with the sky.
The Turkey pilgrimage, called In the Footsteps of the Magi, runs September 1st through 12th, covering Göbekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe, Cappadocia, Sanliurfa, Harran, and Istanbul, tracing the Revelation of the Magi text believed to originate in ancient Edessa, describing a cave of treasures containing the Ark of the Covenant and Adams robe. William connects Sanliurfa directly to his decades of Shroud of Turin research, identifying it as the city where the shroud was taken after the crucifixion and stored until the fourth or fifth century, referencing Byzantine-era depictions of angels wearing cloaks marked with the same L-shaped burn pattern found on the shroud itself. The pilgrimage includes Mount Nemrut, home to a roughly 3,000-foot pyramidal structure built by Antiochus IV, in the same region as Göbekli Tepe though not contemporary with it.
William closes on why the timing matters: as humanity faces a technological crossroads with AI and transhumanism, he believes ancient sites hold encoded answers not just to what happened in the past, but to what humanity can become, an answer he summarises in a single phrase, star walkers.

![He Still Thinks It Was an Impact. Just Not the Younger Dryas.
Chris Cottrell of Dabblers Den returns to catch up with Becket Fusik a year after his last Cosmic Summit appearance, and the update is substantial: two new books, a peer reviewed paper, and a research direction that has shifted since they last spoke.
Chris first encountered Carolina Bays in college around 2000, rediscovered them while pursuing a geoscience masters degree in 2015, and started his YouTube channel to make the research more accessible. After three years presenting at Cosmic Summit, including sharing the stage with Antonio Zamora, Chris spent five years convinced the Bays were Younger Dryas impact features, before evidence around sea level and coastal geology pulled him toward a different conclusion. That shift became the subject of his first book, The Enigma of the Carolina Bays.
His second book, Gone But Not Forgotten, moves away from the Bays entirely and into the megafauna extinction itself, roughly 73% of North American megafauna lost within the Younger Dryas timeframe, animals humans actually lived alongside, not distant fossils like dinosaurs. The Clovis culture, often blamed for hunting them to extinction, disappeared at the same moment. Chris used AI tools for editing and illustration throughout both books, and is now working on audiobook versions and additional peer reviewed papers, self-funding the publication costs through book sales.
The name Dabblers Den traces back to a student who diagnosed Chriss pattern before he was formally diagnosed with ADHD as an adult: someone who picks up new subjects, goes deep, and moves on, which he has now channelled into a decade of sustained Carolina Bays research. He closes with his pick for which extinct megafauna he would want back: a mammoth, raised from birth in his backyard.

Karen Elkins has been publishing Science to Sage magazine for fifteen years and helping Steve Elswick run Tesla Tech for even longer. She joins Becket Fusik ahead of Tesla Tech 2026 to introduce the subject of her presentation: the mercury red thread, a pattern she identified running through ancient technology across multiple unconnected civilisations, and what it suggests about the knowledge those civilisations possessed.
The thread started with the terracotta soldiers of China, where Karen noticed that the base of the structure is a pyramid, and that pyramid contains mercury. The same pattern appeared independently in Mesoamerica: a pyramid, the same serpent or dragon iconography, mercury at the base. The question that followed was not just about geography but about capability: processing cinnabar and working with mercury is not something that emerges accidentally from a primitive culture. Someone understood it, and the consistency of the mercury signature across civilisations with no documented contact points toward a common origin of knowledge rather than parallel independent discovery.
The thread extends into electrical technology. The Baghdad Battery, a clay structure with internal metal components, appears alongside relief imagery that looks like a tube with a lotus base, consistent with an ancient light or power device. Karen mapped the electrical circuits from Indian metallurgical texts onto these images and found they fit. Tesla himself used mercury in his rectifier and produced the same blue light described in the Dendera reliefs. Indian Vimana texts describe mercury as what creates lift and what creates plasma in ancient aerial craft. And a researcher named William Sosa, who will be presenting alongside Karen at Tesla Tech, has recreated an ancient battery using mercury as the key ingredient and will be bringing prototypes to the conference.
Karens broader argument is that we converted fact into myth, and that the sky gods, giants, and divine bloodlines described across every ancient culture from the Ethiopian Bible to Mesopotamian texts to the biblical Nephilim represent something more literal than academia has been willing to engage with. The oral tradition, as she and Becket both note, has a better track record of accuracy than the institutions that dismissed it.
Tesla Tech 2026 runs August 12th to 16th in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with in-person and livestream tickets available at TeslaTech2026.com. Karen will be presenting with William Sosa. Also on the speaker list: Moray King, Dr. John E. Brandenburg, Dr. Weiping Yu, Dr. Thorsten Ludwig, Bob Greenyer, David E. Martin, and two NASA affiliated researchers coming with ideas well outside the institutional norm.
