SO!! I REDESIGNED JOVE!! If you follow my instagram or are in my discord, you already know, but here is the official debut of the redesigned Jove- AND HE COMES WITH A BACKSTORY!!
But first, I will tell you why I changed him.
1: I did not like the previous colors of Jove.
2: I wanted to more accurately represent what I thought of when I first started creating Jove. (like a god)
About new Jove:
Jove is a god of Jupiter, along with other planet wolf type creatures which he lives with in space. (I am not sure if I will ever introduce any other plant wolves). He was created when the planets first started to form, along with the other planet wolves. Jove is the biggest, so he is technically the leader? These planet wolfs kinda live on their own so ehh..
These version of planet wolfs do not have noses because they don't need air to survive (because they live in space). But they have mouths, I just decided not to put Jove's mouth in his head bobbing loop.
Jove controls the wind (specifically air currents, and yes he's a airbender) because Jupiter is a gas giant with a big red hurricane in the middle. When he is angry, his eyes turn orange and his powers are maximized. (not shown in this animation).
BACKSTORY:
(Before the animation)
Jove has a wife which I have never shown to anyone, but I really like her design and I want to feature her sometime. She is the goddess of Saturn. Jove and his wife fight a lot, and one day, Saturn wolf said she dosen't love Jove anymore, and Jove was like fuck you and left.
(In the animation)
(The beginning of the animation doesn't really mean anything.. I just wanted to animate it.)
Jove was visiting Earth because he had just left his wife. He wanted to mourn on Earth because he finds peaceful.
He was minding his own business until he saw a hurt wolf near a road. Peach was run over by a car, and was dying. Jove felt so sorry for the wolf, he revealed himself to Peach and saved her life with his godly powers. (because hes a god and he can do anything lol). Peach thanked to Jove, but was mentally scarred by the pain she endured and just left without saying anything. Jove became interested in these Earth wolfs, especially Peach, who didn't seem to care that he was a literal shining god. This is why Peach is frowning in a part of the animation, as well as when she is standing still and the camera is at her feet (to represent hesitation).
Peach seemed to pick up that Jove had fallen for her: "Are you falling in love? I have a feeling you are." and at the end, Peach remembers how Jove looked when he dropped down to save her life, accepting Jove's love. "Let me feel it."
(I actually found out that those aren't the actual lyrics but i like it and it sounds like the lyrics so shut the up heheheheh)
Also, a little bit about Peach. In my previous animations of her, i've had white essence fall out of her eyes (examples: Crimewave meme and Caught Slippin meme) and I never really knew why until now; That is kinda a side effect of Jove saving her. She just has these moments where Jove's power inside her makes her eyes just poor out essence because her body cant take godly powers. She doesn't have powers, even if she has power inside her. I guess she just has a stronger spirit, she can endure more physical pain. (ohh, and that's one of the things Jove told Peach which made her second guess how she thinks about Jove.)
