Rob Walters, an avid outdoorsman from Swanzey, NH, was honored at Dartmouth Health’s annual Love Your Heart Night by throwing the first pitch at the New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball game. After experiencing what he thought was heartburn in November 2024, Walters was alerted by his Fitbit to a dangerously high resting heart rate and was diagnosed with a heart attack at Dartmouth Health’s Cheshire Medical Center. He was then transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where Dr. Henry J. Tannous and his team performed an urgent triple bypass surgery, saving his life. Walters, profoundly grateful for his providers’ compassionate care, credits them with restoring his health and outlook on life.
