Inspired by a famous childrens novel, Cuore tells the story of a 19th-century boy called Enrico and his schooldays in an era when very few children were lucky enough to gain an education. Enrico spends an eventful year learning important life lessons, but hes also kept busy trying to protect his kindly, good-natured friend Garrone from bullies.
