What will it take to achieve health for all in the face of striking inequalities, ever-increasing demand for resources, and rolling geopolitical and humanitarian crises? At the Nobel Week Dialogue 2025 in Gothenburg, we bring together Nobel Prize laureates, academics, innovators and policymakers to explore one of the most urgent challenges of our time: how to deliver equitable, effective, and sustainable healthcare in the 21st century.

With a focus on the economics and politics of health, this year’s dialogue will tackle issues including how mental health, diseases of ageing and the prevention of chronic disease conditions must rise up political agendas. We will also tackle how new discoveries and technologies — from AI to personalised medicine — can be harnessed for the common good. Discussions will include the future of drug discovery, the rise of antimicrobial resistance, the economics of sustainable and affordable health provision and healthy diets. Join us as we ask bold questions and seek practical pathways toward healthier societies.

Confirmed Nobel Prize laureates include Frances Arnold, Emmanuelle Charpentier, Paul Nurse and Jean Tirole.

In partnership with Carl Bennet AB; City of Gothenburg; Region Västra Götaland; Volvo.

Event partner: Royalty Pharma.
