The "Healer Role" is a modern myth that’s getting your characters killed.
In B/X and most OSR systems, if you’re relying on a Cleric to patch you up after every fight, you’ve already lost the game. We’ve been conditioned by modern editions to think of hit points as a renewable resource, but in the Tavern, we know better.
In this video, we dismantle the "Need a Healer" panic. We’re looking at why a first-level party is already playing without magic, why the "Withdraw" action is more powerful than any Cure Light Wounds spell, and how to handle the undead when you don’t have a cross to wave at them.
