This is an electronic sound healing journey. Find a comfortable space, cover your eyes with an eye mask or scarf, press play, then lie down and relax. Headphones will work, or most external speakers, but this will not work effectively on computer speakers, which cannot adequately play bass frequencies. This 1 hour meditation is a similar form to gong baths and other sonic mindfulness activities. It is based on a mixture of traditional practices, academic research, and ambient and chillout music music and production techniques. You need to turn off your phone, and create enough time to spend an hour just listening to the music. You may find for the first period of the hour you are distracted, or take a while to settle. Just allow any thoughts to conclude, and focus on your breathing, the breath going in and out of your body. Concentrate on how your body feels, on any feelings that come up. Try to keep your eyes closed the whole time. Stick with the process. You may want to adjust your environment, you can use scent (a scented candle, oil burning, incense), dim the lighting, make yourself comfortable with cushions or throws, make a comfortable space for yourself. If there's anything you would like to say or any ritual to prepare yourself, that may also enhance the effect.
The hour long session is structured like this:
A: 10 minutes - dialing down from active beta brain state to meditative Alpha state
B: 20 minutes - going further down from Alpha towards Theta, meditation, trance, dreamy, hynogogic state
C: 7 mins - very still in Theta
D: 7 minutes - growing upwards, chords rising, volume, risers, building, with a Shepard tone, an ever rising set of harmonics.
This ends with a Climactic moment, a eurphoric milestone.
E: 7 minutes at Gamma, intense, insight, binding, glowing, peak experience.
F: 8 minutes - slight return, coming back to gently alert and ending
The journey features a c.40Hz tone, a frequency identified by recent research at leading US University MIT as having healing effects in tests. Overall this activity aims to move you into a state characterised by the Parasympathetic, our rest and repair mode, releasing the bodies natural healing processes, including for example serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin.
This was first featured at Ozora Festival 2026 on the Ginko Stage in the Healion Gardens. More similar files will follow allowing you to avoid repetition and try a different journey will a similar process and effect.
