What did God actually mean when He promised, āthe head and not the tailā?
Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV) says:
"And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them."
This isnāt about status or ambitionāitās about walking under Godās guidance. To be āthe head and not the tailā means living in His direction, in covenant favor, and experiencing the blessings of His guidance. Obedience doesnāt earn Godās loveāit positions us where His blessings can flow.
If life feels chaotic or directionless, Scripture points you back to the same truth: return to God, listen to His voice, and walk in His ways. He restores hearts that are willing to be taught.
