"Protection doesn't do what you think," Jay reassured me. "It taints our relationship!" He continued, pulling me closer. "And without it, I can express just how much I love you. I felt his lips. He was kissing me! At first, I thought it was a loving peck, a sweet gesture since I wasn't feeling well. So I kept sleeping. Then, I felt something else. One by one, he removed my clothes. I remember panicking, thinking "This wasn't Jay! There must have been someone else in the house." But with every piece of clothing, he reassured me it was him; reassured me that "everything was going to be alright" I thought after he left, maybe I'd cope - feel better. But it didn't. I'd wake up and I'd still feel sick. At first, I thought it was because I ate something wrong, or because I had skipped more than a couple of meals. But as I woke up with morning sickness more frequently, I realized that there was only one reason: I was pregnant. 5 months pregnant with the only person I'd ever been with
We chose this story because we want to encourage people to speak up if something similar has happened to them and to seek help if they're still in such a situation. We hope this video will encourage people to feel empathy and compassion for those who have gone through such experiences. And we hope that it will encourage us all to do what we can to prevent these things from happening. Even if it does happen we want to encourage people to speak up for their own safety
