The other day my absolutely amazing boyfriend surprised me with a gift of the Stormy VHS tape that he had converted onto DVD for me. This was absolutely amazing, and means the WORLD to me, and I will explain why below.
Stormy is the whole reason why I love animals. When I was little, he was the very first dolphin I knew the name of, the first one I could tell apart from all the others (Which, when you see his dorsal and scars, it's pretty obvious why xD He was as unique-and almost as big of a story-as Winter is today!) Stormy's story inspired me so much, and at 4 years old, he instilled in me a love of animals and a passion for them that continues to thrive today. Everything I've done and all of the work, time, and money I've put into working towards a career with animals is because of him.
Stormy literally saved my life. He is the reason why I want to work with animals, he's the reason why I care about animals at all. It was he who gave me my passion, love, and understanding of animals. All of the research I did on dolphins and other animals is because of him. I may not have known it at the time, but Stormy was and is the driving force in my life, the reason why I keep going and striving and trying. He gave me so much, and I owe him the world.
Now that I finally have the DVD in a digital format, I was finally able to see footage of Stormy again, to see him in motion and be as close as I can to him now-even though he's gone-in 10+ years.
He saved me, and for that I owe him the world.
*As for using the audio, I may allow you to use it if you send me a message asking and telling me what you plan on using it for. The audio here is my own, and carries a lot of meaning for me, so I just want to know what its use will be if I allow someone else to use it
