We turned a giant mountain poplar slab, 70 kg of epoxy resin, coffee beans, cups and a real Turkish coffee pot into one massive kitchen countertop.
This project became so big that we had to split the build into two parts. We started with an enormous live-edge wood slab, embedded coffee-themed details inside crystal-clear epoxy resin and poured bucket after bucket of epoxy to create the countertop.
Then came one of the craziest parts of the build — hundreds of small wooden squares, individually cut and assembled to completely transform the kitchen island.
Woodworking, epoxy resin, massive pours, countless wooden pieces and a lot of work went into this unusual DIY project.
