OPEN THE DESCRIPTION :
This star was previously 1x because we weren't able to ledge grab the platform from the pole.
But thanks to my recent discoveries about Luigi, I figured out that we can fall from the pole to ledge grab the other platform, since his falling horizontal speed increases faster than any other character !
Nothing more to say. I'm glad about those Luigi physics. Really.

NEW TRICK used in this run : QUICKTURN
Yes ! Quickturn is now possible in SM64DS ! We always tried to figure out the fastest way to turn around instantly, and unfortunately we were never able to do it as fast as in SM64. Thanks to ALAKTORN who randomly figured it out to talk to the Toad in the mini-game room while TASing it, we can quickturn as fast as in SM64, and we can also do it while running ! What you need to do to quickturn is simply to press a very small forward input on the touchscreen, and if youre running you need to press in the yellow zone, because the red zone will make you lose your speed very slowly. Pressing a yellow input while running will make your character walking very slowly instantly, and then you just need to stop as fast as possible, and choose your direction ! I used this trick here for the 1st bully with a red zone input since my speed was 0 after the longjump.

Who the hell thought we could do Scale the Mountain that way ?
Its even probably faster to do that than taking the owl, who knows ?
First, I go up the slope by doing slidekicks and recovers. After climbing all it up, I do a jump to get over the water (i could do a kick but i need to double jump after that). The double jump done with Y run goes actually higher than a backflip or a sideflip. So i did the double jump, and here comes the tough part :
Lets call this trick Sky Wall Kicks :
With 2 walls at less than 90°, this trick is not hard, and can sometimes be doable RTA. But with walls at more than 90° like here in TTM, it is TAS only and it is very hard to do, also some wall kicks wont go that high because you would need to reach the wall before kicking. The first wall kick will always be the highest one, because you can manipulate Mario to do it almost at the corner.
The wall kick after that is the one that wont go that high because you will fall a lot before reaching the wall, but its still useful that i choose the left wall to do my first kick since i would have done one more kick after.
How to do the trick : You need to use a barely good angle while jumping / sideflipping / backflipping to wall kick on the first wall, after that you need to slow down Mario to 0 while choosing a direction that goes towards the wall you will want to kick to, and as soon as you reach 0, you will need to redirect Mario to get another barely good angle to kick. And you need to do that for every kick you will do.
After the last wall kick, Im able to land on the gray rock. From here i do a triple jump to get up to the log, because a sideflip doesnt go high enough. After reaching the log, I jump to the gray platform, longjump, and do some slidekicks and recovers to get up, without forgetting to jump because i cant reach the top with recovers. This is the part that could have been a tiny bit faster :
This TAS could have been a tiny bit faster by doing the crouch keep Y run trick at the beginning but i would have to redo everything and i didnt want to (the wallkicks are damn hard and took me 1 hour to do)
So, without Y run, i just do a slidekick and a recover to reach the star, which is apparently faster than running and jumping.

Thanks to Really_Tall we found a way to optimize the speed to get the best kicking angle so we won some frames and here is the result. We are now very close to 1293 which is the RTA WR with the big setup, which means itd be very difficult to reach 1293 without the big setup. Also the box strat requires a late kick which gives a time of 1300 (2 frames slower than the normal strat)

This star was previously done in 0.5x B Presses by doing kicks to be faster.
Just after doing that star in 0.5x B Presses, I realised that I still have time to get the star, since the timer sound barely began to be faster when I took the star. So, I was wondering if this could be done in 0x B Presses, by forbbiding any kick.
In 1.0, I took Mario instead of Luigi. Why ? Because, on 1.1, the strat needed Luigi since his speed increasing rate is higher than any other character, and it was needed to do a big jump + kick over the scuttlebug. Here, since the strat is different (i cant kick while bouncing, and i need to do 1 more ledge grab which takes time), I took Mario because his speeds are the greatest (excepted swimming) and so that he is faster and can cross over the gap earlier.
By raising the 2nd scuttlebug at the bottom of the 2nd stair, I was able to save much time instead of going on the sign. Unfortunarely, since im on 1.0, I cant do a kick while bouncing since im in a recover animation. When being able to move, I use touchscreen to do a 0 speed Y run to move really fast, and do a VERY precise slidekick into the glitchy part of the wall, allowing me to not slide off the wall.
By doing that, I slidekick early, and I keep the Y run. When being able to move again, I run really fast, I go against the wall to get a speed of 0, and do the slowest slidekick possible WITHOUT Y run, since the Y run timer went to 0 while running. This also means that Im not able to run fast anymore after that. By doing the diagonal slidekick, and by having a very precise angle, Im able to do a fast bounce to the right, so I gain much position by ledge-grabbing that far from the scuttlebug.
Then, I need to do a slidekick recover to be faster, but also to land and get a speed of 0 as fast as possible, to charge Y run as fast as possible. This is the part that makes me lose time and makes the star tighter to get. A dive goes LESS high than a kick, and also has a LOWER speed (Dive : 163K, Y run : 176K). So that, I had to delay the dive and do it as soon as it allows me to cross over the gap. After landing from the dive, I slide a little on the ground (making dust) to be able to grab the star with a recover. The timer was very close to end, it was going to end only 12 frames after I took the star !
By the way, lowering the B Press count for this star from 0.5x to 0x is technically useless in a full BBC run, but its better to see that were able to not hold B and get the star !

OMFG my glitch was useful for this star too !!! Plus, its a lot easier to TAS backflips and direction resets than doing crazy walljumps.
I know that im grabbing the star very high with the last wallkick, but i couldnt get the star from the previous wallkick.

This is skip may make a different route for 150 stars, as we would do DDD in only 1 trip as Yoshi, and we would do Through the Jet Stream by using a glitch which requires the submarine, which is not possible in the current route since we had to do that star AFTER beating Bowser in BitFS (which makes the submarine disappear)
Explanation :
Theres a big missing triangle is this room, making it possible to easily go through with Mario. Though, it was thought as impossible with Luigi. But by charging Y run and doing some frame-perfect longjumps and running fast, I was able to go through the missing triangle. Then, I make it all the way to the 2nd key door. This can obviously be done faster but its really hard to do because the seams are really little. Took me around 1h30 to do.
