While this minuet might seem like a typical one from Papa Haydn, this *is* marked "Allegro molto" in the score, indicating a faster speed and thus a step closer (albeit a small one) to the fast-paced and exciting Scherzos that Beethoven would go on to develop and perfect later.
The Trio (1:58), aside from being a tad quieter, is not very different from the main Minuet, but it provides a welcome enough change of pace.
