Over the next several months, my friends Davood and Daniel (see channel information below) and I have decided to read Hayden White’s “Tropics of Discourse: Essays in Cultural Criticism.” This week, we discuss just the ninth essay in the collection, "The Tropics of History: The Deep Structure of the New Science". If all goes well, we plan to post future discussions of the remaining twelve essays at the pace of about one every 2 weeks. I hope that you enjoy the conversation as much as we did!
