This week, Davood, Daniel, and I discuss the twelfth (and final!) essay in the Hayden White’s collection of essays “Tropics of Discourse: Essays in Cultural Criticism,” "The Absurdist Moment in Contemporary Literary Theory.”

Our next scheduled reading group selection is NYRB’s reprint of Benjamin Fondane’s selected essays called “Existential Monday,” which I briefly introduce at the beginning of this video and we will start reading sometime in January. We hope that you’ll join us. If there is anything you would like to hear us talk about, please leave a comment and we’ll consider it.

We welcome your comments and input.
