This Simpson Desert trip was planned for a while by Bill and his wife Barbara who are both long time Desert Travellers. Bill did a research project for his university studying some remote Aboriginal tool workshops in the remote Simpson Desert. Due to the wet weather and decent rain Birdsville was closed so we had to improvise and change our route accordingly. On the Trip Bill and Barbara Discovery 3, Jake & Will + Roy, Theo and Connor Landrover Discovery 1, Ian and Ella Isuzu Dmax, Alex and Chris Landrover Defender 110, Sebastian Toyota Prado and myself in the trusted 105 Landcruiser Tourer.
