Thumbnail contest entry for @CheetehZ 's MAP!
I found this as an opportunity to practice sceneries again in illustrations as well as do a speedpaint for the channel :]

For my art process, you can see at the start I used a screenshot I took in Minecraft to help with the perspective. I also do drafts before working on the final piece, which is why you see me color and shade the sketch. This helps me figure out what the illustration will look like.

The goal of my piece was to capture the MAP's essence of the tornado and Hawkstorm's connection to Tadpole. I put the foxtrap stake and flower on opposite sides to reflect Hawkstorm's options; whether he'll fall down a route of vengeance or focus on peacefully healing from the loss of his sibling.

The red tail hawk felt like it was an essential aspect of Hawkstorm. I put a few in the background to bring urgency to the piece.

Hawkstorm is standing over Tadpole is a guardian-like position, his legs forming a protective triangle around them. I thought that'd show how close they were and Hawkstorm's source of motive.

I had a lot of fun with coloring this and I hope to make more speedpaints in the future :]
