In the early 1900s, a radical movement gripped much of rural America. This consisted mostly of immigrants and poor itinerant laborers who grew disillusioned, unable to attain the American dream. Tom Simon and his family, having recently immigrated from Syria and made a name for themselves, joined this movement when they saw the local draft board actively targeting their main provider. The culmination of this was a massacre of Tom and his wife, as well as the likely murder of Mose Simon who was never seen again.
