Pololu Hike is one of the shortest hikes in Hawaii. It’s about 0.6 miles, but the elevation gain is about 300ft, so the way back up is quite a work out. We still saw a so many families with young children there because it’s also a camping site! (You need a permit to camp there).
It’s the perfect spot to camp because on one side you have the beautiful black sand beach, and on the other side you get beautiful sights of the Pololu Valley.
We had a blast playing on the swings and a relaxing time to cool down with a picnic.

After getting married, we realized that owning a big house and working at a big company wasn't our definition of success and it certainly wasn’t making us happy.
