You guys… I seriously thought I was going to die this day. The hike itself is not bad, it shouldn’t be harder than the Awa’awapuhi Trail hike we did in Kauai

But this time, we forgot to pack snacks/lunch for after diving, and we had 2 miles to hike up.
With empty stomachs and no energy (we didn’t eat in 8 hours!) we barely made it up to our car.
We are NEVER making that mistake again!!
The diving and snorkeling after you reach the monument is amazing, though. It was one of my favorite places to dive, but I’m pretty traumatized by the events on this day, so I don’t think I’ll go again… If you’re in the Big Island, you should definitely check it out, but remember to pack lunch!!

After getting married, we realized that owning a big house and working at a big company wasn't our definition of success and it certainly wasn’t making us happy.
