Hawaii's Big Island is unlike any other Hawaiian island. Imagine seeing volcanic lava everywhere (thankfully, today mostly solid lava from past eruptions). Still, very impressive. At the Big Island, you'll find one of the most active volcanoes in Hawaii and the world, the Kilauea, but that's only one of the 5 volcanos there. This scenario is even at the beaches in the Big Island, as you see volcanic rocks mixed with sand. And we went to one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii: Magic Sands beach. We were lucky we could get in, as there was sand! 😉 After starting the day trying the famous Kona Coffee, we also drove up the Kohala Coast to see the resort area, which is pretty amazing, and finished back downtown Kailua-Kona for a lovely sunset.
