In this 6 part series we'll be discussing many various tips and techniques to get better looking results when working with glows. We'll be diving into the anatomy of glows, understanding technical side of things such as the blur algorithms, gamma, colorspace etc. No plugins are required, all you need to follow along is the default glow in AE as these techniques can be used regardless of your toolset. Part 1 is some theory but it's crucial for achieving better results so let's get started.

Deep Glow gives you the best looking glow right out of the box, even whilst working in a non-linear color space. It features intuitive compositing controls to assist in refining your glow results. Deep Glow is also GPU accelerated for speed and features handy downsampling and quality controls which can also be leveraged to achieve unique results (grainy or stylised glows).
