Photoshop’s pattern preview has been out for a little while, but I've been using it with Procreate a lot recently and I’ve gotta say – even though it has a few drawbacks (which we’ll discuss), it’s honestly pretty great. When you pair it with Procreate, you can use any art you make on your iPad and then just manipulate things around to get an idea quickly of how you’d like your pattern to look. It’s also very beginner friendly, so there’s no need to be a wiz at Photoshop to take advantage of it! Once your pattern is complete, you can either keep it in Photoshop, or recreate the pattern in Procreate using the Photoshop version as a guide.

Even if you’re not a Photoshop user, it’s a handy tool to be aware of, especially if you’re exploring surface pattern design for profit or pleasure!
