What was your favorite read in December?
Everyone is already posting their plans for 2026 (hell some people have already read a few books and have posted reviews!) but I wanted to take some time to talk about some really great books I read at the end of the year.
It only just occurred to me that everything I read in December was translated 🤣
Confessions of a Mask by Yuko Mishima (translated by Meredith Weather by) published by New Directions.
The Sorrow of War by Bao Ninh (translated by Phan Thanh Hap/Frank Palmos)
House of Fury by Evelio Rosero (translated by Victor Meadowcroft) also published by New Directions
The Melancholy of Resistance by Laszlo Krasznahorkai (translated by George Szirtes) and again published by New Directions.
