Katie Jobling Art | Have you been led to believe you must stick to one style as an artist? @KatieJobling | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve seen new artists make is believing they can only be good at one style. As a result, they feel boxed in and unable to explore. If you think you must stick to one style, it makes sense because being 'known for something' can equal success. But the real question you have to ask is, "Am I ready to stop exploring different styles?" "Have I really found my style yet?"
What professional creatives know is that experimenting with multiple styles broadens their skillset and allows for growth to happen. When you explore different techniques, you begin to discover new possibilities, and the more you experiment, the more dynamic and fulfilling your art becomes.
