I’ve backed Zia Yusuf from the start. The latest wave of sudden defenders claiming a change of heart or newfound respect for him doesn’t impress me.

As the sheen falls off Restore, the same voices are scrambling for a new vehicle and using the attacks on Yusuf as a convenient way to appear thoughtful and principled. In reality there’s no real shift in principles or reasoning — just another opportunity to reposition themselves.

In this video I go through why the timing is revealing, why the support feels opportunistic, and why I still find these people untrustworthy.
