As someone who lives close to Disneyland and been used to that version for a lot of my life. I finally this past November got to see the Walt Disney World version of the ride for the first time and let's be honest.
I prefer this version over our's mainly for the longer scenes and unique features the Magic Kingdom version has. There is way more interesting lighting here, the sets such as the famous Infinite Stairway is cool in person, audio enhancements, and overall very full experience. And the best part is in WDW, The Haunted Mansion is a year round ride as opposed to back at home where we only have our version for 7 months where it is transformed super early for Holiday.
I am glad as a fan of the ride to see this version and I am planning on going back to film it and ride it again in February 2026. I love this version of the ride. My only gripe really is the confusion of the Hatbox Ghost placement. But other than that... Great and definitive version of the ride for sure!
Next year I will not only return to Disney World more often. But I will be seeing Tokyo Disneyland in May. So I might aim to shoot video of that too.
