Items Used:
Clover Bamboo 16" circular & double pointed needles size 6 (4mm)
Bernat Softee Baby Yarn in Soft Lilac (5 oz, 362 yrds, #3 light) 1 ball or 220 yrds.
Contrasting yarn, in same weight, for provisional cast on
Stitch Markers
Tapestry Needle
Yarn Colors for your flowers, I used different shades in the Baby Bee Sweet Delight yarn

Gauge:
20 sts and 26 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch

Size:
21-22" circumference

Instructions:
Using the provisional cast on, cast on 21 sts.
First Row: Purl

Pattern Stitch:
Row 1 (rightside): Sl1, K3, pm, P2, K9, P2, pm, K4
Row 2: Sl1, K5, P9, K6
Row 3: Sl1, K3, P2, sl next 3 sts onto cable needle, hold back, K1, K3 from cable, K1, sl next st onto cable needle, hold front, K3, K1 from cable, P2, K4
Row 4: Sl1, K5, P9, K6
Repeat Rows 1 through 4 to form pattern.

Repeat pattern stitch until your piece measures 22" in length.

Carefully remove your cast on and use Kitchener stitch to close your band. You can also use the 3-needle bind off or cast on normally and stitch it closed. The Kitchener stitch will just lay flatter then the others.

With right side facing you, using your circular needle, pick up 80 sts along the top of your band. Place a marker before joining in the round. Continue knitting till piece measure 7" from bottom of band.

Crown Decreases:
Row 1: *K8, K2tog; rep from * around. - 72 sts
Row 2 and all even rows: Knit.
Row 3: *K7, K2tog; rep from * around. - 64 sts
Row 5: *K6, K2tog; rep from * around. - 56 sts
Row 7: *K5, K2tog; rep from * around. - 48 sts
Row 9: *K4, K2tog; rep from * around. - 40 sts
Row 11: *K3, K2tog; rep from * around. - 32 sts
Row 13: *K2, K2tog; rep from * around. - 24 sts
Row 15: *K1, K2tog; rep from * around. - 16 sts
Row 17: *K2tog; rep from * around. - 8 sts

Cut yarn, pull top closed. Weave in ends.

Small Flower Pattern:
Using your E (3.5mm) crochet hook and your center color yarn.
Center:
Ch3, slst into first ch to form ring.
Ch2, work 9 hdc into ring, slst in top of ch2 from beginning. Cut yarn and finish off.
(10 stitches)

Petals:
Switch to your petal color. Pick any st along your center and pull up a loop.
Ch3, tr4tog in next hdc, ch3, *slst in next hdc, ch3, tr4tog in next hdc, ch3; rep from * 4 times, ending with a slst in last st. Cut yarn and weave in ends.


Special Stitch:
tr4tog: *yo twice, pull up a loop in next st, yo, draw through 2 loops, yo, draw through 2 loops; rep from * till you have 5 loops on hook, yo, draw through all 5 loops.
