I wanted to build a hat rack for all the hats my son has in his bedroom. Originally i thought of building the typical hat rack, a board with some wood pins sticking out. That wouldn't work though, because he has several hats, and we wanted to arrange them on the wall differently. So next i thought of having individual wood hooks that screwed into the wall. But the more i thought about it, the more i realized that i was over-thinking it.
With just a simple piece of wire (or a paper clip) i could make a hat rack that only put a tiny hole in the wall, cost virtually nothing, was easy to "build" and install, and could be rearranged.
