When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29v2
The United States of America was founded on Christian principles, although it does not have an official state religion.
1. Jesus’ present kingdom begins in the spiritual realm, but Jesus’ kingdom breaks into the physical realm.
2. Early Christians were excluded from politics due to their minority status and Roman persecution.
3. Christians are sent to make disciples of all nations.
4. Christians, like Jews in Babylon, should be involved in all areas of society to bring God's kingdom's influence, even though this is not our home.
5. While engaging in politics, we must always remember our purpose.
