Hey, everyone! I'm back with a new metal cover this week from one of my favorite relaxing games: "Mountains" from Harvest Moon 64. This game has a great soundtrack that gets really overlooked, but it gets constantly stuck in my head even if I haven't played the game in years. I actually started recording this song in December 2020 (because I'm very good at time management), but I had to wait until it was nice out to film the video I wanted. The obvious answer to a chill song from a chill game would be a chill cover, but I really don't like when everyone just takes already calm music and plays it on acoustic guitar. We already know what the original sounds like at low volumes. Anyway, rant over, but I'm definitely trying to do more covers like this where I take something calm and make it aggressive or I take something aggressive and round all the edges off. This cover was mixed by my friend Nate Garza who runs "Nate G. Audio" in Austin, Texas. I love the absolutely nasty rhythm guitar tones and gigantic drums that Nate hooked me up with, so I'll definitely be working with him more in the future.
