Entered into the Department's 2020-21 ZEISS Photography Competition.
This video highlights the full experimental procedure in the entrant's tyre wear experiments.
The objective was to emulate the large side-slip angles of #tyres, when a tractor-trailer combination goes around a roundabout in the UK.
The tyre debris coming out of the abrasive wear was collected, weighed and used to create a tyre wear model.
