The Changemaker Award was awarded to Harry Yoon at the 2026 Artist Development Showcase, an evening of curated short films made by alumni of Film Independent’s Artist Development programs, on July 21, 2026 at the Harmony Gold Theater.
Established in 2023 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Film Independent Artist Development, the Changemaker Awards embody the organization’s mission to champion independent voices and create impactful, positive change. These awards highlight the extraordinary work of Film Independent program alumni, whose body of
work and commitment to giving back have made far-reaching impact – both within the industry and in their communities.
Harry Yoon is a Korean American editor based in Los Angeles. Yoon received an ACE Eddie Award for his work on the pilot for Beef, the A24 and Netflix series starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. Yoon edited the Academy and Golden Globe Award-winning feature Minari for director Lee Isaac Chung, which earned him an ACE Eddie nomination. His feature editing credits include the biopic Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua; The Fire Inside, directed by Rachel Morrison; Detroit, directed by Kathryn Bigelow; Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton; and Thunderbolts*, directed by Jake Schreier. Yoon also worked on the first season of the HBO and A24 series Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson.
