Since our area in PA does not have very good wind we need to make our own wind by driving with the 1kW prototype in the back of our truck. By doing this we can generate whatever windspeeds we need for testing just like a wind tunnel. It may not be quite as accurate but it will certainly be good enough to do most of our testing and performance validation. It will also allow us to get tons of data in all kinds of different furling states. So this winch system will allow us to lay Harmony down for safe transport to our testing site and then stand it up in the field for testing. Then lay back down again for travel home. Stay tuned!
