While on board the Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas cruise ship, we went to deck 4 to create a full in-depth tour of Izumi. This Oasis-Class cruise ship hibachi and sushi specialty restaurant is situated between Casino Royale and the Main Dining Room. This Asian-inspired dining experience features traditional Asian cuisine with fresh ingredients. If you chose to dine at this Harmony of the Seas specialty dining restaurant you can choose from sushi rolls, sashimi, Hot Rock (Ishiyaki) plates, sukiyaki and much more. Although there is an up-charge for this restaurant, many cruisers say that it is well worth it.
Of the Izumi restaurants we’ve toured, we still like the Explorer of the Seas the best due to its abundant light and floor to ceiling windows, although the Harmony of the Seas Izumi comes in a close second. Our least favorite Izumi on a Royal Caribbean ship in terms of the ambiance and view is found on the Adventure of the Seas, with its Japanese restaurant located on the Royal Promenade. Make sure to watch our tours of Izumi on those other cruise ships.
