An MFA student in Playwriting, Harley Elias shares the development of his play, Scourge, a dark comedy about the forgotten histories of the bubonic plague. He brings together historical archives and the power of theater in a talk that shows how the plague may mirror aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
