Changed some things in my setup...
Basically, I can send any audio (CRAFTsynth, Diosynth, Uno Synth, laptop) through the Boss VF-1 which goes to the interface of my iPad for looping, etc.
All of my MIDI goes into the CME H4MIDIWC where I'm doing the MIDI signal routing and control mapping. Basically, I can send any MIDI input (BT, USB, DINx4) to any output. And I can remap notes or MIDI controls using the app (which creates presets that you can select between even when the iPad isn't connected).
For the audio, I had an input selector before so I could only send one instrument at a time into the effects box. Having all the sources available at the same time is better, now I can play a pad from my laptop while playing whatever other instrument. It's also easy to switch the effects on/off for different instruments or when there are already effects on the source.
