Here is my entry for the Hardware Jams weekend challenge. This week the task was to put together a jam using found sounds.
I recorded sounds from outside my studio window and objects I had lying around. Plucking and hitting a kids SpongeBob guitar, a cardboard box, twanging a ruler for the kick, stomping on a Boss pedal, blowing a cider bottle, me making a chhh sound for the hi-hat and my 6 year old daughter saying some really random stuff!
I loaded all these samples into the Digitakt and sculpted them into musical sounds with this machine. Every sound in this track originated from these samples.
