Prototype of possible Kickstarter project. We would supply hard to find parts(LCD screen, encoders, buttons, printed circuit boards), 3D printer files for plastic parts, and an online step-by-step video build tutorial. Your only add the $10-15 Arduino Mega2560 Compatible with XP11, P3D, and FSX. Arduino runs Air Manager 3.0 or ArdSimX and you could interface with a Leo Bodnar or Desktop Aviator USB HID board too. Our goal would be to have mounting brackets for all configurations. Great to panel mount in a sim or use on a display board stand as shown here.
