Experience the spirit of the season with Twanguero’s Live Outside performance of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” an instrumental reimagining of the timeless John Lennon & Yoko Ono classic. With his signature “twang” sound, Twanguero breathes new life into this holiday anthem, joined by the soulful rhythms of Jason Tamba and Mermans Mosengo.
This intimate performance reminds us that the message of peace especially resonates during the holidays and invites us all to take a moment, listen deeply, and reconnect with the meaning of the season.
This release also marks the first single from Christmas with el Twanguero, an instrumental holiday album recorded to analog tape at Control de Tierra Studio in Madrid. The record captures the charm of vintage Christmas sessions — warm tones, handcrafted arrangements, and the depth of real analog sound. A portion of the project’s profits supports El Patojismo, an art and music school in Jocotenango, Guatemala — helping provide guitars and essential music gear to teenage students.
