And sometimes two sides can both be right.
Im honestly super happy with how this animatic came out! Civil War is my favorite Marvel movie.... there is no winner, no side in the right, everyone has their own reasons to fight and it really is just a great movie.
So what happens in this video... The first few shots open up with the Avengers on a mission in Lagos... a mission that does not go as planned. Seventeen people are killed. Tony Stark (short cat with long ears) pitches the idea of the Sokovia Accords, a law to limit the power of the Avengers, to Steve Rodgers (tall dog). However, Steve retorts that the Accords are something that would help Stark, but not everyone else. The two disagree over the whole matter, and we then see Steve talking to Sam Wilson (cat with torn ear and chest marking). Sam supports Steves stance against the accord, though he is worried about the infighting it is causing among the Avengers. Steve then mentions the Winter Soldier, and how some truths are hidden for the better in reference to how he did not tell Tony about how his friend killed his parents. Then we transition to Tony and Natasha Romanoff (fluffy cat with ear tufts) talking through their point of view. Tony feels betrayed by Steve, and Natasha is somewhat caught in the middle of the argument. Tony references his reasons behind the Accords and the damages that the Avengers have caused (New York, Sokovia, and Lagos), which Natasha points out are the very reason behind him being Iron Man. Natasha and Sam both sing as the battle between the two sides begins; neither side is wrong in this scenario, but there is no way for them to both win.

Hi I petition to rename Scott Summers to Scott Suffers because that is all he does.
That’s right, I have here more Scott-centric X-Men brain rot! I’ve actually had this idea for ages and saved the audio multiple months ago, so when I got this renewed wave of X-Men inspiration recently I pulled it out and decided to make it! I honestly love the turn out; it provided a great chance to practice with humans, frame-by-frame, and editing! I’m pretty happy with it!
The theme of this meme is exactly the title; “Hollow life”. It’s pretty vague, as I focused more on the animation and, y’know, finishing it, but it shows a bit of how Scott’s life feels just that; hollow. He was brought into the X-Men when he was just a kid, and from there he hasn’t been able to do anything else. He feels too dangerous to be out in the “real world”, so when Xavier shows him how to use his powers for “good” he is excited for the opportunity. But between Xavier dying multiple times, the world ending a couple, he is tied down by his responsibility to the team and never gets the chance to do anything else. At some points, he begins to feel like Scott Summers is gone; Cyclops is the only one the world seems to need.

AHH, I love this song!! I saw a MAP with It and just had to take a part! I’m so glad that I did because honestly I was about to start an animatic with it otherwise and there is a much lower chance that I would have gotten that done! 😆
These parts follow Vixquen and Syma, the two sisters that rule over the pocket dimension Mid-Way. The beginning of the part shows Syma (the one with yellow eyes) confronting Vixquen (the one with blue eyes) about the fact that she seems to be trying to consolidate power for herself. For a brief moment Vixquen— who has been becoming increasingly attached to her role as queen and more and more aware of the fact that others could try and take the power from her— looks down in guilt and doubt. Then she steels herself and turns to her sister, the biggest threat to her power. Syma realizes the shift in Vixquen and tries to remind her that she helped her build everything that they have, but Vixquen has made up her mind. She digs her claws into Syma’s gem— one of the most vital parts of a crisalli— and the animation flashes back to when they were kids (crisalli are not born in the same way that earth creatures are, so when their families are founded by innate bonds that tell them what role another crisalli will play in their life. Vixquen and Syma knew they would be sisters the moment they met, and they never formed bonds with any other crisalli). It shows when Syma first mentioned the idea of taking the crown to Vixquen, and then it flashes back forward to the present, where Vixquen stands with Syma’s blood on her face. The two sisters were close, extremely close, and both believed that taking the crown would be the best thing for their dimension. Vixquen’s paranoia is what killed Syma, and it is what continues to haunt her in her spiral as she begins to kill more and more in an attempt to cover her ever growing guilt.
THAT’S RIGHT, SYMA’S NOT AS INNOCENT AS WE ALL THOUGHT!! THIS WHOLE THING WAS HER IDEA!! For DSMP fans watching this she can kind of be compared to C!George; she had plans and ambitions, but she was a bit lazy about them and more content to sit back and watch her sister do the work for her.

Hey y’all, today I bring you more Opal content!! I’ve been pretty busy IRL lately but I’ve been working on a big project that may or may not include Opal, so when I saw a MAP go up with AJR’s new song and a cool blue color pallet I just had to take a part!
This is pretty simple from a storytelling point, but we get to see the semi-updated designs for Cule, Sarr, and Curr (the three brothers that rule over Opal’s home planet, Qalt), as well as Curr’s ambition to take over the planet and Opal’s ambition to make her mark on their world alongside her three friends Reno, Vedo, and Sera. However I can never leave this storyline without a little angst, so you can see a bit of how those ambitions turn out in the last shot! 😏
Not sure if I love the editing on here, I feel like I made it a bit too bouncy at some points, but it was fun to make a fairly quick PMV part with my quarileons!

Back at it again with sad Squadron 416! I’m so so happy with the animation in this video; I’ve been doing more frame-by-fame animation lately, and it’s so satisfying! As the pallet of this MAP was so fun to work with!
From a story standpoint, I’m also super happy with how this turned out!! Remember how at the end of the Ur Always Wrong animation meme Vedo was the only one left? Well, here’s a glimpse of what happened! After Opal’s supposed death and Reno’s certain death, Sera and Vedo were the last two surviving members of their little squadron. Vedo shut himself off emotionally, becoming over invested in his work and military service. He quickly climbed in the ranks, lost in emotionless ambition. Sera, on the other hand, fell into the opposite trap; she became over-emotional, drunk at least half of the time, and overall spiraled into a haze. Vedo in his closed-off state couldn’t find the energy or emotion to help his friend and they barely spoke to each other… until one day Sera let all her emotions loose at a senior officer. Vedo watched in empty shock as his last friend was arrested. Suddenly he was the only one left.
Does Sera survive being arrested? Do she and Vedo reunite? Who knows! Hope you guys like hearing about these complete side characters that I absolutely love! XD
Also if anyone’s wondering (no one is but I’ll say it anyway!) why Sera’s bonds in the last two shots are shaped the way they are, it’s because quarileon bonds are shaped to keep the quarileon from utilizing their Bura/black matter/powers. This matter is excreted from around their paws, neck, and back; hence the odd bondage!

WHOOO frame-by-frame! I could have made this part a LOT simpler on myself but nah, I wanted to animate a bouncy quarileon! The frame-by-frame was a challenge, but it’s been a while since I’ve done something like this so it was a lot of fun!
This really isn’t anything story related, it’s just Opal hanging out on her home planet, Qalt! If you want to read deeply into it though maybe this is just a few days after Reno’s death—
