When this track was released I wasn't really into the Madchester sound. It was too much drug-fueled faux psychedelia for my tastes at the time. The closest I got to Manchester's club scene was New Order. I was too much of a New Wave synth junkie, crossed with a little goth and industrial. The two biggest bands of the movement, Happy Mondays and Stone Roses, that wasn't club music to me at 20 years of age. However... this particular mix was given to me on a mix tape sent to me by a pen-pal I met through the Depeche Mode Fan Club, and she said that this song was played in the arena before the Depeche Mode gig she saw in 1990. I held on to that cassette for years. Now that I'm an aging Gen X guy, I've grown to appreciate the Madchester genre a bit. I hope you enjoy the video.

Besides, I’m just a fan making ZERO money off these videos. I have refused to monetize my channel, because as a fan I refuse to make money off artists I respect and admire. I simply make these videos to share songs that I truly love, especially remixes, B-sides, and album tracks that have no official videos. YouTube has even blocked me from monetizing and instead THEY make money off me by putting ads in the videos.
