’Tis the season, and we invite you to spend it with the Strandberg family.
This time of year means different things to different people. For me, today marks the beginning of some (well deserved, in my opinion) time off, and the Queen’s birthday; and tomorrow is Christmas Eve, which is the day where we Swedes celebrate Christmas. For you, it might mean something completely different, but I hope that you do have a chance to get into the holiday spirit, spend some time with your loved ones, or simply get some downtime and moments of reflection to charge the batteries before we head into another new year.
At Strandberg Guitars, and I think I speak for all of us, we are excited about what lies ahead. As you may have heard, we have taken on board a new major partner to help us scale up our business, and continue our journey towards meeting your needs even better, whether it be new products, new services, or new business models. We are in the middle of some very key recruitments that will accelerate us on this path. And we do have some very firm short-term plans that I think will excite you as well, and that we will fill you in on shortly.
Our creative community .spark* has thrived in the past year, and our owner’s group has continued to be a source of positivity, creativity, inclusion, and general encouragement for all that participate. I’m incredibly proud to be a part of these forums and to see and hear the amazing music that you create on .strandberg* instruments. Hearing the testimonies of being inspired by playing a .strandberg*, of getting back to playing after many years of injury or loss of creative spark, is the ultimate reward.
Looking back at the year that passed, it is certainly with a mixed bag of emotions. Although I don’t personally compose music, my job certainly needs inspiration and creativity, and I can sympathize with all the musicians that have released cover albums in the past year. :) Business-wise, we have had a tremendous year. Yes, it’s been very hard to navigate delays and parts shortages and to deal with disruptions and more than 10-fold increases in costs of shipping, but we got through it! And in September, we pulled off the biggest product launch since 2017, with a complete revision of the product lineup, under the ”NX” theme. We couldn't be more proud, and the reception has been overwhelmingly positive.
In closing, please join me in a pledge to reflect on the positives of the year that passed, and what we can all do to make the coming year the best we can make it. Let’s search for that inspiration and creative energy, and make something awesome of it, together!
