I got the mystery gift for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!
It's a reference to the famous surfing and flying special Pikachu that get given out as events.
Though that makes it more of a tradition than a reference.
Either way, I love event pokemon with unique abilities!
Just make sure you don't cause it to forget Fly.
