I’ve realized that some of life’s greatest gifts aren’t found in the big accomplishments…. They’re found in the people who helped shape us along the way.
The people who loved us, believed in us, sacrificed for us, and helped us become who we are.
My dad has been many things in my life over the years, but one thing he has always been is a reminder of strength, resilience, and unconditional love.
And let me tell you something… I don’t say that lightly.
I’ve watched life stretch him.
I’ve watched him carry responsibility without always getting applause for it.
I’ve watched him show up in ways that didn’t always look loud, but were deeply powerful.
And as I reflect today, I don’t just see my dad… I see a man who did the best he knew how with what he had, and gave what he could, anyway.
That deserves honor.
Because as I’ve grown, I’ve learned this truth: greatness isn’t always in perfection. Sometimes it’s in persistence. Sometimes it’s in showing up again and again, even when it’s hard.
Dad… thank you.
Thank you for the lessons I didn’t always understand in the moment but cherish deeply now.
Thank you for the strength I learned by watching you live yours.
Thank you for loving me in the way you knew how, and in doing so, helping shape the woman I’ve become.
I see you now in a new way. And I honor you in a deeper way.
Happy Father’s Day. ❤️
