For those who’re celebrating, Happy Eid al-Fitr! We had a wonderful time although it was not as festivity as in Malaysia!
I made the typical dishes in our family; slow-cooker beef rendang, steamed glutinous rice, peanut sauce, satay, sambal, compressed rice cakes, and of course our favorite cookies; pineapple tarts, coconut cookies, snowball (Arabic) cookies, and cornflake cookies (which were gone even days before 😂).
I spent hours of video calls with my family in Malaysia, celebrating with them ❤️. You expats know the feeling 😂!
